Muse Asia Adds Matoi the Sacred Slayer Anime




Muse Asia began streaming WHITE FOX's original television anime Matoi the Sacred Slayer on Saturday. The channel will stream episodes daily until May 12.

Muse Asia is streaming the anime in Bangladesh, Brunei, Bhutan, Indonesia, Cambodia, India, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Nepal, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Muse Asia describes the anime:

Matoi Sumeragi wishes for nothing more than to lead a normal life away from the spotlight. She is quite satisfied alternating between school and her part-time job at her best friend Yuma Kusanagi's family shrine. But this routine life is permanently disturbed when a Night—an evil extra-dimensional entity—attacks the shrine. Matoi is able to drive it off after unwittingly calling upon the powers of a god, the natural enemies of the Nights.

The anime premiered on Tokyo MX in October 2016. Animax Asia aired the anime in Southeast Asia in April 2017.

Masayuki Sakoi (Celestial MethodPrincess Resurrection) directed the anime at WHITE FOX, and Yousuke Kuroda (My Hero AcademiaMobile Suit Gundam 00Big Windup!) oversaw and wrote the scripts. Mai Toda (animation director for Baby StepsOne-Punch Man) was the character designer and chief animation director, and Seiichi Shirato (JormungandDriftersJoker Game) was in charge of setting research. Tatsuya Katou (Love Live! Sunshine!!Celestial Method) composed the music.
